Please if someone can help me. The sound on my speakers and headphones have gone out.
A week ago, the sound just went out. I ran virus scans, checked volume controls everywhere and installed all updates. Ran a Dell Diagnostics Agent to reset defaults. That reset my speakers to work, but not headphones. All was well, until today. The sound just went to barely audible volume. Resetting with Dell Diagnostics to defaults did not work this time! I use sound for working from home on my computer. Can anyone please help? Thank you very much. |

Hi, Do you see all of your sound devices via Windows Device Manager? it could also be a problem with your headphones. Whenever I have a problem with headphones, is usually because the volume controller thingy on the cord got broken. Try using a different pair of headphones, see if t hey work. I'd try a different pair of headphones/speakers like elebrin said, along with trying the "broken" headphones in a different audio device (portable CD player, MP3 player, etc). That way you can figure out which it is; the headphones, or the speaker port. Amy |
