I'm planning to install Windows Vista Final this or next week and I need some comments about internet connection sharing software. I'm using Sygate Home Network now to share DSL connection. It's very cool, because Sygate does not require to configure anything on client computers. You just need to install it and absolutely all programs work fine with internet connection.

After reading descriptions of other internet sharing programs, I see all of them are based on proxy, so client will need to configure ALL his programs to connect through proxy (main PC). Crap! Don't want this in any way.

Are there any good internet connection sharing programs? I'd love to use Sygate, but I'm afraid it won't work with Windows Vista - this product is not upaded for 6 year sad.gif

Yes, if someone knows such a software, please post it here.

From what it sounds like, what you want is to set your computer up as a router that can do PPPoE (probably). hmmm... I knew how to do this at one point... have to get back to you after a little research...

elebrin, got any news about internet connection sharing software? I sent question to ccporoxy team, they answered me that their software doesn't work in "normal" way like I want
elebrin
gaaaah sorry no luck... I will keep looking though. Did you ask the ccporoxy folks what they would recommend for what you need?
ManXP
I don't think ccproxy guys will recommend competitor's software for him wink.gif

If the software is not what Zerg needs, then they aren't competing for a sale. They might also have another product that they develop that does do what he needs.

When I need to buy something and the store clerk says they don't carry it, I ask where I can get it. It almost always works for me.

I don't think such a tool exists. Well, it may exist, but I never saw any.

Sygate was making really AMAZING software... It's sad Norton bought Sygate company and fu**ed everything.

Well, there is such a program. It's named Windows Internet Connection Sharing. And it sucks a lot smile.gif
