Wow, i just got Software News RSS Feed to my RSS reader about eXeem 0.20 Public Beta available to all ( http://www.soft-news.net/m-news+article+storyid-810.html ) and was so excited about this... Downloaded and installed. Extreme nice user interface, uses not much computer resources. So, i just wanted to start a seearch, download some files and test speed for this new generation peer to peer based software.

And problems began... I got this error:

21:09 scheduling a node request at: 21:09
21:09 sending node request to network
21:09 node request failed, retrying in 5 minutes
21:14 sending node request to network
21:14 scheduling a node request at: 21:24
21:14 node request failed, retrying in 5 minutes
21:19 sending node request to network
21:19 node request failed, retrying in 5 minutes
21:24 sending node request to network
21:24 scheduling a node request at: 21:34
21:24 node request failed, retrying in 5 minutes

And so on... Can't connect to the network at all. Was trying to close and start again, restarted my PC - nothing. eXeem still displays this error and doesn't download anything.

I would like to hear your comments about this software. Is it ok on your PC? What's about download speeds? Thanks smile.gif

Yes, i got the same problem exactly!

Downloaded eXeem Public Beta 0.20 yesterday and wasn't able to connect to any node, can't imagine why. Using Sygate Personall Firewall Pro, allowed full access for eXeem - still nothing.

After some time i disabled Sygate Firewall at all, but eXeem didn't like to work on my PC smile.gif By the way, it's adware! mad.gif

Hello guys,

Don't worry about this, you are not alone. I had the same connection to the nod problem with eXeem Public Beta, searched for more information about this eXeem issue on Google and was redirected to this forum topic.

It looks, that eXeem isn't fully working yet (maybe paid version works fine without any nod problems unsure.gif ) and there are thousands of complaints on the internet about the same trouble - exeem scheduling a node request and fails.

Forget about this p2p software for now, let's go back to eMule, LimeWire or any other peer to peer client. eXeem is not worth to waste your time. Really.
ExCD
Did anyone resolve eXeem Public Beta so called "node request failed" problem?

As i'm still getting sending node request to network, node request failed error messages with my copy of eXeem. What a crap mad.gif

eXeem Public Beta sucks a lot!
ManXP
eXeem problems, eXeem node request has failed, eXeem is not able to connect to network, eXeem nods don't work at all, and so on... All the forums are full these types of messages. Seems, that eXeem doesn't work as it should.

Agree with people, which say - "Forget eXeem". eMule and LimeWire Pro are better solutions for peer to peer file sharing on the internet.

I am another person, reffered here by Google smile.gif Was searching for any valuable information about eXeem node request issue.

After reading this forum, i understood, that eXeem just doesn't work and it's not my computer problem. Thank you for all your messages about eXeem Public beta problems and tips to use another P2P client to share files.

Hope to find more and more good tips on this forum - community looks very friendly and members are ready to help each other for resolving any problems.

Great idea. I think it will help people to decide which p2p software is the best choice for them.

Kazaa Lite Resurrection got my vote.

But as i see, no one votes for eXeem smile.gif People are too angry for failed nod request problems? laugh.gif
ManXP
Forget about eXeem all the troubles it causes. Just install another software and be happy wink.gif

LimeWire Pro forever.

Thanks so much, Rav4. I'll try any of these solutions. But now i installed LimeWire Pro, as it looks the best according to the poll.

And welcome.

Rav4 - thank you for a link, nice to hear, that eXeem node request problems were solved at last.

But eXeem must die! Top reasons:

1. Too much problems with network
2. It's adware
3. It just must die!!!
funksplutter
Actually you can get the fix for this from
myexeem.com
without any login/registration etc. It's just a registry file.

The question still remains though - why bother?

I've tried searching for a number of files on exeem and all I get is ' search failed fragment:x '. This could be a problem with the client, with the fix or it could point to a tiny user base.

In any case I'd say steer clear until a full release and even then it might not be worth the bother of downloading it.
ManXP
Absolutely right.

Before releasing eXeem, millions of users were waiting it and talking about advantages. Bot do you see any advantages? Developers were able just to say "We will make a revolution... New generation... Features you didn't see yet..." and so on. And after releasing eXeem everybody forgot about this client in few days.

No one wants to bother i think

eXeem 0.22 Public Beta was just released. Anyone installed it already? I'm interesting are the bugs fixed? Is eXeem working without any big problems now?

Yeah, just read about eXeem 0.22 Beta on main page.

Sorry, but i don't want to waste my time for installing this smile.gif I'm sure eXeem 0.22 sill doesn't work as it should. We can just wait some more time yet...
Rav4
Thanks for the welcome. I agree, eXeem is not what I or many others expected it would be. I myself have given up on it, as I see it as just another kazaa with a billion and one fakes, and if i wanted to get fakes I could get them on Kazaa much faster than on eXeem.

Regarding the myexeem site, i noticed they copy the same reg fix file (right down to the name) and post it there without any credits. It also seems that that kronix site has now changed to www.p2plife.com and broke off with exlite.

At the moment all i use is www.isohunt.com . it also helps that the guy running that site knows what hes doing and does not seem like a scammer.

PS: eXeem still gets its ads from Cydoor servers, but atleast the Cydoor does not reside on your PC anymore.
Devil666
Rav4, i see you know about eXeem a little more than stnandard internet users know.

Did you try eXeem Lite? I'd suggest other members to try eXeem Lite also, it's a cleaned version of original eXeem software. This is a quote from eXeem Lite developers homepage:

QUOTE
We develope eXeem Lite. You ask us, why we do this? This is a cleaned version of the latest version eXeem. We made this program, because when you install original eXeem you get not only P2P Program, but also spyware component Cydoor. Nobody, like when somebody put in his favourite software ads and other addition what will track our acting in Internet. Where is our privacy?! For developers of original version it is not important.

eXeem Lite 0.22 Beta 1 is available at these guys homepage - http://www.exlite.pl/
Rav4
I tried the original exlite before they stopped it. I would not touch the version available at exlite.pl with a pole, stay away as they have been known to be rip offs and "nasty" people. They try to block the eXeem ads by using a HOST files, which overwrites your original HOSTs file (along with anything you added it to it manually). And that doesnt even work most of the time. Once they even added entries that block you from going to the original exlite home page and forums which resulted in a huge fall out on p2p news sites with nearly everyone calling them scammers.

Frankly after the end of the original exlite there hasnt been one single proper version of exeem lite. Although knews has been circulating that a certain "Ashton" has been reverse engineering the exeem client along with its protocol and would be starting an open source version of exeem. That would be great if it happens. There is some brief info on he exeem protocol somewhere on InfoAnarchy.com 's wiki.

If you really want to use eXeem then I would suggest you download the original and use your own HOSTs file to block the adverts, this way you can keep downloading new original version without worrying about adware.
Creep
Thank you for recommendations Rav4.

I didn't know that eXeem Lite replaces your hosts file and even add some records here to disable accessing other message boards and websites. Shame sad.gif

By the way, no one have some issues with LimeWire Pro these days? It doesn't work so good as worked before for me. Download speeds are lower, some files are in the waiting mode forever.

Don't think it's a problem with my PC, as eMule works fine.
Coder
Never installed eXeem on my own computer. Heard too much complaint from other people on the net and decided not to try even.
mahd
i think exeem will get better, remember guys this is still a beta copy and nothing is final yet.

my copy worked fine with connecting to nodes, but i had this problem with the addware, a screen pops out when i start exeem saying that addwares are blocked and i cant download with speed higher than 5 KB/s. and to disable the block i have to click on yes and restart exeem. i tried to disable it but i still get this message and the download speed will not get faster than 5 KB/s.

anyone knows how to disable this option or disable addware blocks let me know.

p.s. i disabled all firewalls and addware blockers but still dint work.

thanks........

Devil666
mahd,

did you check your hosts file? This one can block spyware too.

By the way, why do you want to allow spyware? I'd suggest you to uninstall eXeem and use LimeWire (Pro version) or eMule - there are spyware free and have nice download speeds.
Onokazu
By the way, eXeem 0.23 Public Beta was released few days ago.
IRCMan
mahd - did you solve this problem with eXeem already?

By the way, what a popular topic. Lots of eXeem users come here smile.gif
Devil666
Guys, why are you still discussing about eXeem Beta and eXeem problems? smile.gif

Even if eXeem 0.23 was released recently, it's not worth to waste your time anymore... Have fun
